There’s a conversation we have at reception almost every week. Someone from Parets, Montmeló or La Llagosta walks in, looks at the floor and says the same thing: “I’ve been looking for something like this for months and I didn’t know it was right next door.”
If you live in the Baix Vallès and you want real CrossFit — coached classes, a coach correcting you, actual progression — the map is shorter than it looks. This article is that map.
Mollet is the centre, even if you don’t live in Mollet
KOR Training Club Mollet is at Avinguda de Can Prat 16. From there, the surrounding towns sit at a distance measured in minutes rather than journeys: Parets del Vallès, Montmeló, Montornès del Vallès, La Llagosta, Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Martorelles, Sant Fost de Campsentelles, Lliçà de Vall.
We’re talking five to fifteen minutes by car from almost any of them. Less than it takes plenty of people in Barcelona to cross the city to reach their gym.
Getting there
By car. The C-17 and C-33 put Mollet within reach of the whole corridor, and the AP-7 connects it to Montmeló and Parets. Parking around here isn’t the problem it is in Barcelona — which sounds like a minor detail and is exactly what makes someone come four times a week instead of twice.
By train. Mollet has two Rodalies stations, so you can get here without a car from anywhere on the line. It’s the option for people coming back from work in Barcelona who stop to train before getting home.
Close to home or close to work: the decision nobody thinks through
A lot of people in the Vallès who work in Barcelona join a box near the office. It makes perfect sense on paper and it fails for one very specific reason: the day you finish late, the day you work from home, the day you have a lunch, a public holiday, August. A box near work only works on the days your schedule works.
One near home works on Saturdays, on holidays, in August, and on the days you’re wrecked and the only thing holding you together is that it’s six minutes away. Consistency isn’t won by motivation — it’s won by distance.
And if you work in Barcelona, at KOR you don’t have to choose. More on that below.
What’s at KOR Mollet
Over 400 m² with the floor split into zones: weightlifting, gymnastics, rowers and bikes, and space to run indoors. An official CrossFit box, with classes coached from start to finish — nobody walks in to do their own routine — and four different sessions to choose from:
- WOD — the classic CrossFit session, the one most people are after.
- Strength — strength with week-by-week progression, for anyone who wants to lift more.
- Metcon — engine and work capacity, the lungs day.
- Hybrid — strength and endurance combined within the same session.
All four are explained in detail on the workouts page, and the club detail with timetable and directions is on the KOR Mollet page.
The other three clubs are included
This is what solves the problem for anyone living in the Vallès and working in Barcelona. One membership covers all four KOR clubs: Mollet, Badalona, Les Corts and Arc de Triomf.
So: on office days you train in Barcelona on your way out, and on the days you’re home or it’s the weekend you train in Mollet. Not two memberships, and not two boxes with two different methods — it’s the same progression in four places. If you want the full picture of the group, it’s on the CrossFit in Barcelona page.
The questions we always get
I’ve never done CrossFit. Does that matter? No. Most people walking in for the first time weren’t training before, and every movement scales. That’s exactly why the coach is on the floor for the whole class.
Is there parking? Yes, and it’s free. It’s one of the reasons people from the surrounding towns end up here rather than in Barcelona.
What times are there? There are early-morning and evening sessions, built around people who work in Barcelona and train before leaving or on the way back. Current times are on the club page.
Do I have to commit to anything to try it? No. The first class is free, and it’s the full class with the group, not a guided tour.
I come from running or trail. Is this for me? Yes, and what you’re probably missing is strength. Look at the Hybrid session: it’s built for exactly that.
The fast way to find out
Come in. One class, the real group, the real noise, a coach correcting you specifically. It’s free and it takes a minute to book from the contact page: pick Mollet, tell us which day works, and we’ll confirm the time.
If you live in Parets, Montmeló, Montornès, La Llagosta or Santa Perpètua, the box you’ve been looking for all these months is ten minutes from your house.
